Free virtual screening of the documentary film "Palestine is still the issue," by John Pilger
John Pilger has made a well-informed and engaging documentary against the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. His argument is clear and consistent throughout: the root cause of violence in Israel/Palestine is Israeli colonialism.

October 7: Behind US and Israeli Headlines

May 19, 2024 3 pm ET/ 12 noon PT

Beheaded babies!”Systematic mass rapes!”Heads on pikes!” In the hours, days, and weeks after the attack by Hamas, Israeli sources fed such claims to Western mainstream media, claims which were then echoed by high officials, including the U.S. president.

This salon asks critical questions: Have news bureaus been reporting propaganda as facts? Have Israeli and Western politicians been using fictional war atrocities to justify a six-month “War on Gaza?” And what does video footage taken on October 7 reveal about what actually happened on that day? Our panelists will review and discuss three recent video reports that present the evidence and offer critical analysis.

Over 1 month into the genocide, with over 11,000 Palestinians killed by Israel, the Canadian government not only refuses to call for a ceasefire, but continues to sell weapons that enable Israel's massacres.

CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR GAZA CHILDREN

ALL OUT FOR PALESTINE

Human Chain vigil for Gaza

Join us on Sunday, October 15th, from 12pm to 2pm, as we and our allies come together to stand shoulder to shoulder in support and healing. We will mourn our fallen victims - over 600 innocent children have lost their lives in just six days, in what can only be described as a genocide.

STAND WITH PALESTINE RALLY

The purpose of the CPSA organized rally held on Oct. 9 was to create a space of collective healing for Palestinians and allies in London and express profound concern regarding the continued violence perpetrated against Palestinans. The attempts to portray the protests as hateful are dangerous and false. We established many times throughout the program that no form of hate racism or antisemitism will be tolerated. Furthermore, organizers worked to de-escalate altercations between attendees and provocateurs actively establishing our space as one intolerant of aggression. Our program consisted of Muslim faith leaders, Independent Jewish Voices, humanitarian workers, and affected Gazans.

London Police Services were notified by organizers two days in advance and two phone meetings took place to go over route planning and risk mitigation. The continued characterization of the protest as "unsanctioned" by elected officials is disingenuous. Our leaders and elected officials must not make statements that further perpetuate the rampant Anti-Palestinian racism. We call on all levels of government to advocate for de-escalation and an accountable process that can lead to meaningful and just peace for Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.
