  • On August 20th, Arms Embargo Now Coalition is calling on all concerned Canadians to put pressure on our government to by flooding our MPs inboxes, voicemails and socials to demand they end the Canada-Israel arms trade. 

    Members, chapters and supporters are invited to join the phone Zap at noon EST and/or at 7 PM EST on August 20th. 

    You can also send emails, poster in your neighborhood, show up at politician's events, share social media calls to action and more, no action is too big or too small! 

    1. Remove Barriers on Palestinian Refugees

    This petition seeks to remove the barriers preventing Palestinian refugees from exercising their right to return and live in peace and dignity. Supporting this cause is essential to ensuring justice and human rights for all Palestinian refugees.

    1. Divest Canada Pension from War Crimes

    This petition demands that the Canada Pension Plan divest from companies complicit in war crimes and human rights abuses in Palestine. By signing, we can send a strong message that our pension funds should not support injustice.

By supporting these petitions, we take a step towards a more just and equitable world for Palestinians.

    1. SEND EMAIL NOW

    At dawn on August 10, 2024, the depraved Israeli forces targeted Al-Tabeen school in the besieged Gaza Strip, where thousands of civilians have been sheltering from the barbaric bombardment by the Israeli forces.

    More than 100 Palestinian civilians have been killed in the attack, the majority of whom were women and children. Many more civilians are still under the rubble, either dead or injured.

    Our government must take action.

    Please join us in sending a pre-populated letter to your Member of Parliament (MP) urging them to protect Palestinian civilians, hold Israel accountable, and preserve international humanitarian law.

    1. Take a minute to ask the CRA to investigate a school that's received tens of millions of dollars in public subsidy. Action Network , A quarter of the graduates from a Toronto school reportedly join the Israeli military. Read about an alumnus of Bnei Avika Schools who was recently injured while stationed on a base in illegally occupied territory as well as his brother boasting about committing war crimes in the West Bank.

    Yesterday, August 9, a complaint was submitted by Just Peace Advocates and others to the Canada Revenue Agency detailing Bnei Avika’s violation of charity rules.

    Also please take a minute to email the Justice Minister to investigate school officials for violating Canada’s Foreign Enlistment Act and students under Canada’s Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act.

    Prime minister Justin Trudeau tweeted that Canada stands with Israel unreservedly during the current situation unfolding in Gaza.

    We firmly object to statements that unconditionally support the Israeli government, as they perpetuate a troubling trend of overlooking the underlying causes of this violence. We firmly assert that the loss of civilian lives is never acceptable.
