RFP London 2024 is sponsored by Joseph Zayouna Law firm
We have once again partnered with Islamic Relief Canada to procure food, hygiene supplies, bedding, and any other essential item that can be sourced.
They screen and contract local suppliers and partners, who procure either locally or through private trading routes between Gaza and Egypt.
Islamic Relief has successfully facilitated aid trucks entering Gaza through the Egypt border crossing, which has helped to alleviate some of the pressure on the ground. They are also actively exploring additional avenues of aid through various border crossings. Working alongside local partners and the World Food Programme, they are presently active in the Middle Area including Deir Al Balah, Zawayda, and Al Nusairat, as well Khan Younis and Rafah.

We are also partnering with the Children's Health Foundation to help enhance Neonatal Care in London
Babies in the NICU require constant monitoring and precise control of their environment, down to the degree, as well as frequent testing to prioritize their constant medical needs and complications. In order to ensure that NICU babies - who often weigh less than a stick of butter - can be safely transported to different procedure and assessment rooms along with all their equipment, Children's needs a replacement NICU shuttle. Children's Hospital would like to purchase a new NICU shuttle, to replace a decommissioned model. This state-of-the-art shuttle makes it possible for an infant's developmentally supportive "microenvironment" - comprised of incubators, ventilators, IV's and more - to move with them. Vulnerable infants can be transported quickly and easily to assessments and procedures without fear of worsening their condition or experiencing loss of power to vital equipment.

Our mission is to provide immediate relief and establish sustainable solutions. With more shelters and refugee camps being bombed, families in Gaza-already displaced-have no safe haven. The crisis worsens daily, with essential supplies cut off and medical facilities targeted. Your support through fundraising can help us make a significant impact and bring much-needed aid to those in need.
This year's Run for Palestine is working with Glia International to help provide medical support in Gaza.
Glia is responding to Israel's catastrophic attacks on Gaza's healthcare infrastructure in two ways: firstly, through international medical delegations of healthcare workers bringing skills in paediatrics, surgery, emergency trauma, and midwifery to work in solidarity with Gaza's healthcare workers.
Secondly, they have constructed a semi-permanent primary Health Care Clinic that sees roughly 600 internally displaced Palestinians each week, providing free health care and medicine. They have hired a local staff of nine who run the clinic. The cost of running the clinic is roughly $12,000 a month. They will continue to run the clinic for as long as they have funds, but they desperately need the generous support of donors to keep this initiative alive.

Our collaboration with the Canadian Palestinian Professional Foundation (CPPF) focuses on nurturing academic excellence and leadership in Palestine through the Omar Barzak Youth Scholarship in honour of our dear friend Omar Barzak.
Omar Barzak's dedication to education was not just a personal pursuit but a profound commitment to uplifting his community.
His deep-rooted belief in the power of education extended beyond his own studies. Omar was actively involved in initiatives that supported students and promoted educational advancement within his community. His tireless efforts included mentoring younger individuals and advocating for better educational resources in Palestinian communities.
In tribute to his enduring impact, the Omar Barzak Youth Scholarship has been established. This scholarship is a fitting homage to Omar's legacy, aimed at supporting Palestinian students who seek to further their education abroad. By providing financial assistance to these young scholars, the scholarship honors Omar's vision of education as a means of transformation and growth. It ensures that his commitment to learning lives on, offering future generations the chance to follow in his footsteps and make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.
The Omar Barzak Youth Scholarship is a testament to his life's work and an enduring source of hope and opportunity for Palestinian youth.
Through scholarship funding and support, we are shaping the future generation by enabling them to pursue education and professional growth. Join us in fostering brighter prospects for these talented students.
