Register Here

The Faculty of Arts & Humanities Anti-Racism Committee at Western University is pleased to host "Neutrality to Nuance: Decolonization and Teaching Palestine," featuring contributions by Jasmin Zine, Randa Farah, Jess Notwell, and Sheryl Nestel.

This webinar will host four diverse perspectives on some of the complex issues related to teaching and research in the context of Palestine and Palestinian culture. We will hear informed voices on topics such as academic freedom, education in service of community, and the importance of understanding historical and present-day realities in the region. The objective of this event is to provide different viewpoints on this challenging topic. We aim to foster academic dialogue and to better understand the critical terminology necessary for bridging divides.

This event is hosted by the Faculty of Arts & Humanities Anti-Racism Committee, which is committed to supporting the increased representation of Black, Indigenous, and other racialized people, as well as promoting diversity in the curriculum. As part of our work, we organize workshops, panels, and invite speakers.
