Salma Khalaf
Vice President
Salma Khalaf is a dedicated leader, advocate, and strategist whose life work is rooted in her identity as a Palestinian refugee from Lebanon. At the age of six, she survived the 2006 Lebanon war and vowed to amplify the voices of the oppressed. Since then, she has committed herself to justice, equity, and the rights of Palestinians, women, children, and refugees.
Salma holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Earlham College. During her undergraduate years, she served on the board of National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), where she supported over 200 student chapters across North America. Her academic promise was recognized through her selection for the Watson Fellowship, enabling independent international work interviewing displaced Palestinians about visions for their future.
Professionally, Salma has experience in both government and non-profit sectors, with federal outreach, policy, and program roles. She has led and organized large, city-wide events focused on community activation and advocacy, and is deeply committed to strengthening community-rooted activism
Her leadership has been acknowledged through multiple awards and honours including the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Pin and recognition on the “30 Under 30” list by the Canadian Arab Institute, reflecting both her grassroots impact and her professional experience.
Currently, Salma is completing her Master of Science in Business Analytics at Ivey Business School, Western University. She combines data-driven thinking, strategic planning, and deep empathy to guide her work. Her aim is to strengthen CPSA London’s mission by leading with integrity, growing collaborative networks, and empowering future generations of change-makers.
